This collection was realized through the long-standing friendship between Shinpei Goto, the designer of MASU, and the Okamoto brothers, who run "SOLAKZADE®."
The limited edition eyewear, "Rhinoceros," with only 100 pieces available, was inspired by a 1960s French vintage eyewear piece that Goto acquired at the shop during his student days. Its distinctive front shape is likened to a rhinoceros horn. The message embedded in the rhinoceros, symbolizing solitude, reflects the Okamoto brothers' desire to affirm modern loneliness.

The aesthetics of both parties are also evident in the intricate details, such as the custom acetate that recreates the sunset gradient pursued by MASU, temples reminiscent of angel wings, and extreme hinges emblazoned with a hexagram. Handcrafted by artisans in Sabae, Fukui Prefecture, this piece is a future vintage in the making.
